Thank you for your interest in this role. There are no trick questions here: we want to see how you think, how you check your work and how you write.

Answer in English, in your own words. Short, specific answers beat long general ones. The written answers and the video must be yours; we discuss them in the interview. We read every completed application ourselves and reply to everyone who finishes it. Your answers are saved on this device as you type.

A Tuesday morning

Write what you would actually do.

6.It is 7:40 am on a Tuesday. Technician 3 calls in sick. His day had nine visits: six routine refills in Dubai Marina and JLT, a scent change at a Downtown hotel booked with the duty manager for 11:00, an installation at a DIFC office whose permit took four days to obtain and is valid today only, and a complaint visit at a mall shop that has been waiting since Saturday. Your other five technicians are loaded and already on the road.

The accuracy exercise

7.Below is one technician’s plan for Tuesday 10 November exactly as it was typed into the sheet. There are at least four mistakes. List every one you find, one line each, with what you would do about it.

Rules for this exercise: each machine takes one bottle per visit, a complaint visit carries one spare bottle, a site with a permit entry needs a permit valid on the visit date, and Dubai to Abu Dhabi takes at least 90 minutes each way.

Your video

8.Record a 60 to 90 second video on your phone or computer. Start by saying your name and today’s date, then: the city you live in, the coordination job you are proudest of and why, and why you want this one. No slides, no script read from the screen, normal clothes, any background.

Record it here, or upload one video file of up to 50 MB. If yours is larger, record again at a lower resolution.

mp4, mov or webm, up to 50 MB.

9.Anything else we should know? Optional.
